New releases of BIMREVO and MAPREVO

Published 3 August 2026 · GEOREVO Engineers

Both of our web platforms move a step forward: MAPREVO reaches version 1.0 and BIMREVO gains auditing, compliance and reporting tools. Both still run in an ordinary browser, with nothing to install and no licences to manage.

Both platforms are built by GEOREVO and hosted in Switzerland. They are free to try, and MAPREVO needs no account at all.

The BIMREVO and MAPREVO interfaces side by side

MAPREVO 1.0 — the 3D cockpit in your browser

MAPREVO brings together your LiDAR point clouds, your IFC models and more than 24 official swisstopo layers on the real terrain. LAS, LAZ, IFC and GeoJSON files are dropped straight into the window, with automatic detection of the format and of the Swiss LV95 coordinate system.

01

Multi-layer 3D section

Draw a line A→B and the elevation profile of every stacked layer appears — bare ground from swissALTI3D, buildings and vegetation from swissBUILDINGS3D, and your own imported clouds, each in its own colour.

02

Solar simulation

Shadows are computed physically for Swiss latitude, at whatever hour and date you choose, on the swisstopo building stock as well as on your own model.

03

Immersive walk mode

At eye level you walk through the future building and along the street, with the Swiss context in 3D all around you.

04

Historical comparison

From 1946 to today, a slider runs through the aerial views and shows what has changed on the parcel.

05

Story Maps

A guided tour in five steps, shared by link: the municipality, the client or the public follow the sequence at their own pace, with no account.

06

Cartographic PDF export

North arrow, graphic scale, legend and LV95 coordinates of the view centre — a vector A4 sheet ready to attach to a planning file.

BIMREVO — auditing, compliance and reports

BIMREVO displays your IFC 2x3 and IFC4 models in the browser, and the new release goes further: it checks the model and produces the documents that go with it.

01

Configurable BIM audit

Several dozen rules grouped by section — structure, naming, properties, geometry. Each rule can be switched on or off and weighted, and the score recalculates live.

02

3D clash detection

Real collisions are detected down to the triangle, with hard clashes distinguished from soft ones, and precise coordinates.

03

Model / point-cloud compliance

Import the scanned cloud alongside the IFC: BIMREVO computes the deviation for each element in centimetres and shows it as a colour map in the viewer.

04

Comparison of two versions

Load two models and the elements added, removed or changed stand out in colour, side by side or overlaid.

05

Automatic quantities

Areas, volumes, lengths and counts extracted from the model, grouped by floor and category, exported to Excel or CSV.

06

PDF reports and BCF export

Two ready-to-send reports — quality audit and compliance — and a BCF 2.1 export reviewed before sending, readable in Solibri, BIMcollab, Revit or Archicad.

Try both platforms

Both open in a browser, with nothing to install. MAPREVO starts without an account; BIMREVO offers three projects and one gigabyte free to get going.
